A little light would be nice

So I'm going to be out of town for a week before Anything Happens. I'm pretty sure there are good reasons for that. It works for me.

You know who it doesn't work for?

My kids.

Despite, as far as I can see, zero outward evidence, they can tell something's going on. They're a little freaked out.

They're going to be fine--they are fine, most of the time. But they're also anxious about separation and more easily upset in general then usual. They need reassurance.

They so don't need me to be gone for a week right before whatever comes next.

Keep them in your thoughts, please.

Me Too! Kids are wicked psychic (in my experience) -- and they respond to what they feel more than what they think (which I wish I would do more often). I'm sending auntly vibes to the kids and sisterly vibes to you (if that's not too presumptuous).

I guess I'm a little late in on this conversation, but yes, they seem to know things and feelings before they become self-aware to the adults.

**Very good thoughts your way, and theirs**
